It is a beautiful day here. The sky is blue, the flowers are blooming, and it is warm enough to not need a jacket when going out to enjoy the sunshine. We danced, ran, and checked on the tiny sprouts of pea plants growing in the garden. I have never planted this early and it is amazing that the seeds we placed in the soil with such hope are now sprouting.
Checking on some tiny whips of apple trees, that we planted from seed as an experiment a few summers ago, and that were twice eaten by deer last summer, to find them forming branches and leafing out.
A few snips of fresh chives were clipped for tonight’s dinner. A light layer of pollen already floats in the air and bees are beginning to visit our early bloomers.
Spring is upon us, and it is simply breathtaking. Enjoy!
